Midgets love to read Jeremy's Thoughts!
MIDGETS!!!!
Yo Jeremy, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish but facebook had one of the best websites of all time. One of the best websites of all time!

Howdy! I'm Jeremy Emberling!

I'm the dude in the orange shirt. I live in Lafayette, Louisiana, which is the best place in the world! We've got the best food, awesome people, and crazy culture! It's also the home of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Ragin Cajuns, which during football season, makes for great tailgating!

As you can tell, I'm kind of a big deal. I mean, I own my own domain. That's what important people do. You can check out all the stuff that keeps me busy below. If you'd like to contact me, well, that's what MySpace and facebook are for. If you're into twitter, you can find me there. Of course, for you old fogies, you can always drop me an email.

For those unfortunate people who don't know who I am, well, I guess time for you to be educated. I grew up in a little town in rural Oklahoma called Ninnekah (which is some kind of Indian for "seeing in the night", referring to an Owl, which happened to be the school's mascot). Stuff happened with my dad's job, and we moved to Louisiana when I was 12. It was a sucky change and a horrible time to leave the life I had in Oklahoma, and I got in a lot of trouble while trying to deal with everything.

We moved a few miles away to Crowley when I was 15, and got out of a lot of the depression I had there. I made a scene, and a few friends along the way and now live in Lafayette, even though my family moved back to Oklahoma. I skipped the whole college thing, I've done some awesome things in my life like being an IT Manager, working in a news studio, music/bar promotions and even became a door to door salesman. (They promoted me to manager on my last day! How funny is that?)

I've seen a lot and done a lot for just being 21, so I think it's time I relaxed a bit, work on making some dreams a reality, and finally make my way to college like everyone else. I'm thinking of writing a book on how to help others become as successful and awesome as myself. I have a pretty cool life, so I can't complain. You can check out what I'm up to these days below!

Project: Area51 Archives

This is a project I started in January of 2010. The project's goal is to create a common format for as many hacking documents as possible in order to preserve the articles for future generations. The site runs the MediaWiki software, which is similar to Wikipedia.

All articles can be exported in the Wiki Markup Language format and transported to any other site, making it possible for any article to outlive it's author. Area51 has editors who control all of the site's content in order to assure a high quality of content and consistency.

Along with the work I do with Area51, I'm also staff at DocDroppers.org, which is a collaborative wiki provided by the DDP. DocDroppers is also a wiki that catalouges hacking articles, many of which are on the Area51 Archives.

DocDroppers differs from Area51, because it allows anyone to edit and publish content on the site. This allows more people to contribute, and approved changes to documents are reflected on Area51 Archives. Between the two, a wealth of knowledge can be obtained for free. The way it should be.

Job: Cajun Cuttin

Cajun Cuttin is a side project that I'm working on- a cutlery company. I have always loved knives and have noticed that people can't always find the knives they want. My goal is to offer a wide selection of knives and knives you wouldn't normally see anywhere else.

Don't expect to see anything too big coming out of Cajun Cuttin right now... I've got a lot of work to do.

The Future

I've got a lot of things up my sleeve, and once I have some time to work on these projects, I'll be all over it. Look out for these projects coming up soon.

2012 Presidential Election: I'm running for the office of The President of the United States of America in 2012. We'll see how that goes.

Unnamed Podcast: I've attempted to have a podcast even before the term podcast came about. It's never worked out but I think now is the time to do it. Expect more information very soon.

Smoke Shop: I haven't come up with a name yet, but I will be opening a shop where you can purchase hookahs, shisha, herbal shisha, and electronic cigarettes. The idea is to promote less harmful tobacco/nicotine consumption.

Fireshark Computing: A computer company that specializes in open source networking equipment, open source desktops, and various point of sale register systems.
